We clinched a play-in spot tonight.

We need to move up one more seed to avoid nets. KD is too good-

Pretty easy coast to coast win.  3 point shooting was elite.  Pritchard needs to get more minutes at this rate.

I'll get killed for saying this but....I don't like Sean Grande on the telecasts.  He talks too much.  He's broadcasting like he is still on the radio.  Plus his jokes are way too corny.

I miss Mike.  The Pat Summerall of NBA broadcasting technique.  Less is more.

I get what you’re saying, but Grande works just fine for me.  I bet if he got the full-time gig I think he’d dial it back a little — he’s been radio broadcasting for decades, and you can’t change how you announce for a single night.

I just want Chicago or Cleveland in the first round. After that I can’t tell who’s the toughest out; could make a case for any of them. With Chicago in free fall, though - 2-8 in their last ten - would not be shocked to see them fall back to the play-in game.

Depends, because the Nets could be either the 7 seed or the 8 seed. The play-in tournament will determine all that. That's not something we can really control. I think staying at 4 is the best, because you can potentially avoid all of PHI/BKN/MIL until the ECF, whereas even with the 3 or 2 seed you're almost guaranteed to play someone like PHI/MIL 2nd round. The Bulls and Cavs are way beatable too.

If I had to choose between MIA, PHI or MIL to face in the 2nd round, I'd definitely pick Miami.

I personally think BKN will go through the tournament and finish the 7 seed. The other 3 teams just don't have much of a chance I think unless someone like Trae goes scorched earth on them in a game

All reasonable. If the Nets go on a heater they could still land sixth.

I see little chance of them making up 3-1/2 games on Cleveland.

Brooklyn plays Memphis, Miami and Utah the next 3 games, Utah without Kyrie. The Nets only have 11 games left. Cleveland plays LAL and Detroit the next two games.

It's extremely possible Brooklyn could be 6 games out of 6th place with 8 games to play. So I see the Nets in the play-in. They just don't have enough time to make up enough games to get to 6th.

With their schedule and Kyrie missing home games, BK could drop to 9th and be locked into the 8th spot (that’s if they make the playoffs at all).

I’m not overly worried about seeding right now, I want them to win as many games as possible and let the chips fall where they may.

Brooklyn handled Utah. They’re 3 games back of the Cavs for 6th. If the Cavs go 4-5 (entirely possible, as they’ve been around 500 for the past 20 games) the Nets need to go 7-2 to catch them and own the tiebreaker. Won’t say it’s likely yet, but it won’t surprise me. Nets can be tough even without Kyrie; KD is still KD.
