Player Nicknames

I know it's been talked about before, but I never got the Timelord nickname for Rob Williams. They're so many alternatives Lob Rob, Lob Williams, etc that for him so much better bases on his game. He oversleeps ONCE and this nickname sticks because Brian Scalabrine thinks of it and decides to say it all the time in hopes that everyone else does so he can get credit for it (seems to be working).

Has there been any other nicknames based on only ONE event for other past/present NBA players?

Scal didn't think of it, he just stole it from Twitter users and popularised it.

Pierce's nickname of The Truth originated from a single event (Shaq dubbing him it).

I prefer to call him Rob.  I never cared for Timelord.  I know Rob is not a nickname but it is his name and I like it and it is only three letters.

Agreed.  Rob didn't even like the TL moniker as its derivation has a negative connotation.  Lately I've called him Robert Williams III because he deserves respect for what he's done this season.
