Looking for good Prichard comparisons.  Kerr is a decent one, although Prichard actually has a much better handle and better ability to shoot off the dribble than Kerr.

However it's really interesting to see how long Steve was in the league for played until he was 37 years old never was any good on defense and slightly taller than peyton.

His prime he avg 8.6 ppg and it took him until 28 years old to get there.

Starting at 23 years old he avg

89 2.1ppg
90 6.7
91 4.8
92 6.6
93 2.6
94 8.6

Also never avg more than 3.2 apg. I think peyton is better in that area as well. Although not the same player,  I think peyton has a chance to hang around the league for a long time.

If he keeps shooting like this he's gonna get plenty of minutes.  What player from the past does peyton remind you of?

Including being okay on defense when buying into the system

Including struggling to bring the ball up when they press

House had more speed on the break. But the defense and outside shooting is equal to House. Kerr and House don't have the mid range shot and dribble probe of PP.

Best comp for me right now is a shorter Hornacek. The shooting, defense, mid range, dribble probe, and decent vision is all there.

Mark Price.

First career years similar, Mark's second took off better than Payton, but interestingly, Per 36 numbers aren't far off.

Price was a second rounder (25th), unfortunately for the C's, he was drafted in 86, the same year as Bias!   :'(

I like the Hornacek comp quite a bit, but I do think that is more of a ceiling than what we can reasonably expect him to be (but hey, I'll gladly take All-Star Payton). He has the same type of energy all over the floor and is an extremely gifted offensive player. He is just going to keep working and learning how to break down opposing defenses.

I love the enthusiasm, but he's nowhere close to Hornacek.  If Pritchard ever has a 20 / 5 / 5 season where he shoots 43.9% from 3PT, I'll buy you a pony.

My immediate comp is another Oregon guy, Luke Ridnour.  Pritchard looks to be a better shooter, though.
