Players are shooting 6.4% worse than their normal FG% when guarded by Robert Williams.

That negative difference is the biggest by any defender with 500+ shots defended this season.

Very much like Tatum, Timelord seems to be putting it all together and realizing his full potential. IMO, Williams III would be a defensive player of the year favourite this season if he was healthy throughout.
5' 10" former point guard

Career highlight: 1973-74 championship, Boston Celtics

Career lowlight: traded for a washing machine

Not surprising. Too bad they don't track passed-up shots. When I watch I see offensive players shying away from TIMELORD and passing up shots with him coming out on them.

Only if some momentum starts now.

Certain awards is almost 50% reputation based on past seasons.

I love Rob our starting, soon to be all defense, center.

Definitely seeing the same thing!

Agree with this.

Gobert gets 1st team half due to being in the argument for being the best defensive center, half due to reputation.

Embiid or Bam might get 2nd team half due to being worthy of discussion. Half for Embiid being an MVP candidate and half for Bam because he made it last year.

If Timelord has another stellar defensive year next year, he'll finally get in. It's like you have to put in 2 great years to finally be given consideration for the All-Defense Team award.

I think he should be a candidate for most improved too.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Would love to see who coaches and players pick as DPOY. Media probably isn't going to study how Timelord is playing defense and just look at stats.

Honestly I feel like a lot of them just latch onto whichever public opinion on the subject is trending at that moment.  I kind of doubt many of them even do any statistical analysis, let alone film study.

Perhaps we might not need a big man superstar as Timelord could be our very own homegrown star one day.

Im pretty high on RW3. If he can develop a couple consistent offensive moves or even better a 3 point shot, he’d be absolutely perfect for this team. I’d take him over better players because team fit can often close skill gaps while keeping salaries relatively low.

Imagine if he had a 3 pointer and sets a high screen. Defenders would have a pretty difficult choice guarding the 3 on a pop vs a dunk on a roll.
