Yes, I don't like the fit but if we can't get Beal or Lavine it might be the best move we could make

No, I don't care how good the fit is I hate James Harden and don't want him on this team

It doesn't matter. Harden will re-sign with Brooklyn or go to another market

I think there's less than a snowball's chance in hell that he doesn't re-sign with Brooklyn. Their team would have to self destruct for it to even become a possibility.
Given that they have Kyrie on their team, self distruction might be a legit possibility. :P

I'm hoping that Cryrie and Ben can wreck their teams without even playing for them

He the most boring great player I have ever seen.   I don't think we are an option realistically, and I think he would be boring to watch.

If Harden wanted to sign here and Brooklyn would do a sign and trade (and not ask for Tatum or Brown), then absolutely bring him in even as it hard caps the team.  It is no secret I wanted to acquire Harden last year, even at the expense of Brown, I'd absolutely bring him in as a free agent in some sort of Horford + young assets/draft pick type trade (even if the young assets are R. Williams, Nesmith, and Langford).  Harden is arguably a top 5 player and is clearly a top 10 player right now.  You bring those guys without giving it a second thought.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner
