Following the lead of Patrick Mahomes with Royals, Giannis has purchased a stake in the Brewers to become a co-owner.  Investing in Milwaukee for the long haul.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I think it’s cool, but I don’t think it necessarily ties him to Milwaukee long term.  Lebron owns a piece of the Red Sox, right?

Yeah, earlier this year Lebron bought into FSG so he owns a part of the Red Sox and Liverpool in the EPL.

I do love how Gianis doesn’t crave big markets or AAU buddies.
Love how loyal he is.

As a Brewer fan, I see this as a real positive move.

Dude the best thing about his post-championship-presser was him joking about "I can demand trade now yes?" and subsequently trying to, during the interview, get an answer to the question "who do I talk to to get traded" :')

I was rooting for the Suns but as the games went on, totally started buying into the bucks. Learning more about Giannis since, he seems to be an absolute legend.

Buying Brewers is just yet another lil' side-story/anecdote of how cool he is imo!

Giannis is one of the most likeable "current best in the game" players in a long time. Investing in a major league sports team is a great investment. Investing in the local team is an even smarter PR move. He is probably approaching "Big Papi in Boston" type of love and adulation in Milwaukee right now.
