I believe teams can pay between 3m and 4m max to buy a draft pick.  If that's the cost of the 53rd pick I wonder what the 35th would cost.

I remember reading a report last season that some team(s?) were considering trading first rounder(s) for cash. Fwiw, the last first-round pick traded for cash was in 2013. The Nuggets traded #27 to the Jazz for #46 + cash. The player selected at #27 was Rudy Gobert.

They can pay up to $5.617 million if the trade is processed tonight.  It’s near $5.8 million if they wait until the new league year starts.
