The team cannot be 25th in the league in assists next year.  If that's the case again then get a coach who coaches iso and not a coach who coaches ball movement like Stevens.

Brown and Tatum, to be leaders, have to see to it that the team is, at very worst, around 15th in the league in assists....They are the ones that need to promote ball movement.

End of mild rant.

TP for thread title... 8)

One of the issues with what we have now is size. Couple of signings would solve that problem in a minute.

I wonder how the Nets will do against a "big" Bucks team. Blake Griffin as the "big man in the middle" might be a liability if Budenholzer can put together a plan.

What happens is that teams start to chase what seems successful strategies put on by other teams.

Belichick used to spend big draft capital on tight ends...bucking the trend.

I DO know that having a lot of "smaller" players can't work because the hoop is too high off the floor.

I really felt that Danny and Brad phoned it in this year and according to Brad he's been but out since the play-in games. Danny did little to no work the last off-season. Our stars need to be built around.

I think you've flipped back on the overreaction switch.  For sure the bubble was draining -- look at how all the teams that stayed the longest have done this year.  Brad's been in his job for a while.  I get it.  I've been at my job since late 2012 and just started sending out resumes last week to find something new, because the last year burned me out also.  Now I just need to polish mine up for the C's.

Ainge has a lot of work to do to build a solid bench where everyone on it can play but I don't think this team needs to be blown up. We need some tweaks and some good vets off the bench but our top two of Tatum and Brown are stars which should be the hardest part of team building. This year was a disaster in so many ways but next year could be as light as this year was dark!

I didn't think he had that much work to get a solid bench.

Problem all season was health, which depleted the bench by putting them into starter roles.

JB, JT, KW, MS, and RWill is a formidable starting five.  TT, Romeo (as he has shown), PP, Fournier take you nine deep, with Nesmith learning and growing takes you 10 deep.  If GWill rediscovers what he lost  in his sophomore slump, now we're 11, but 10 for sure.

TP. I'm in the same boat, been at my job since 2011 but the last year really weighed on me and I'm looking too.

Tweaks will get this team to a 50-55 win caliber ball club.

Something major needs to happen to change this from a second round and out type team into a title contender.
