Sony Michel to the Rams

Sony Michel was traded to the Rams this morning for two conditional late round draft picks.  I thought this would eventually happen, but thought the Pats might at least get a 3rd out of it.

A possible 4th rounder seems okay. A 5th and 6th is below what I would expect.

Was actually looking forward to watching Sony this year as he looked even more comfortable catching the ball. He only seemed to improve when there were guys pushing him for snaps.

They must feel confident in this kid Rhamondre Stevenson, and presumably Michel was going to be cut at the end of training camp:

J.J. Taylor
Brandon Bolden (special teams)

I guess it's better than simply cutting the guy!

Sony to the Rams rumor started as soon as Akers was lost for the year. I think the Rams will get a comp pick at the end of the 4th round (this is the pick the Pats will get) though you never know with the NFL still hating on the Pats (remember, the Pats initially didn't get a comp pick last year until they were asked to recalculate the formula).
