Celtics receive: George Hill

Thunder receive: Waters, Green

I believe we would need to partially use our trade exception (not sure if that is possible?) but George Hill would solve a lot of our short term issues defensively, scoring depth and playmaking.

I would have usually suggested a draft pick as a trade asset but given Oklahoma’s treasury of picks I doubt that would be of interest to them. Waters is coming off contract and is a long term project that would better suit OKC then us.

Career lowlight: traded for a washing machine

We’d have to include a pick, and Waters is a two-way player.  I’d be okay-ish with dealing for Hill, though.

Not worth sacrificing a pick or part of the TPE for. Too old, too limited. I'd be happy to get as a buyout but not willing to give up assets for him.

Adding Hill means Pritchard isn't playing. I have no problem with including Teague in the deal just to get rid of him and make sure he isn't getting any playing time, but since adding Hill means Pritchard loses developmental minutes AND the move in no way gets us closer to a title, it's a hard pass for me.

Now, if Danny was doing a multiple team deal that includes bringing in a difference making player and wants more vet presence off the bench, whether now or in the off-season, and includes picking up Hill in that deal, yeah, that is fine by me.
