I know a few people that have suggested we can’t win with Kemba at the point and I agree.  I believe the pelicans are a team that can be a trade partner.

Boston Out: kemba walker and TT

Boston In: Steven adams, lonzo ball and josh hart

Not sure if we can get a first out of it too or not, but I feel overall it is a fair and reasonable trade for Kemba

If you are asking for Lonzo and Josh hart in return might as well ask for multiple first round picks lol

Lol I’m ok with that. I just figured that teams may not value kemba high enough to part with multiple picks due to his knee.

Why would Pelicans do that?

Kemba is the best player in this trade. Adams and ball are expiring and gives them the opportunity to get something for them. Ball and hart have been mentioned to be available also. I personally don’t see it as a trade that the pelicans wouldn’t at least consider.

I was being sarcastic there is no way that Pelicans trade lonzo and hart for Kemba and pair him with Bledsoe.
Now if the trade is Kemba + Carsen   For Bledsoe + Redick I can see them accept that. Also that trade will allow us to use the TPE in the off season for player via sign and trade. With our current cap situation this option is off the table

Pels wanted to trade Ball to make room for K Lewis and NAW.  Getting Walker defeats the purpose.

The TPE cannot be used in a sign and trade if I’m not mistaken.

You are mistaken.  We cannot finish above the hard cap with a sign-and-trade, but the TPE can be used so long as we remain below.

I think it is more correct to say at any point during a season we can not be above the hard cap if we acquire a player via a S&T

Steven Adams signed a 2 year extension. He's not expiring.

Yes, more correct.  I meant “finish” to mean after the trade was completed rather than after the season.   Regardless, the primary point remains that a TPE can be used in a S&T — it’s only the hard cap and trade compensation that gets in the way.
