Meh. If nothing else materializes, I guess I'd trade Thompson straight up for him. No picks though. Not even a second rounder.

If we were an actual contender Tucker would be a good target, but as the game last night clearly demonstrated, we are not.  Keep the draft choices for a more significant move later.

How about :
Carsen to Milwaukee
Dj Wilson to Celtics into the Kanter TPE
Then Wilson for Tucker straight up.
Maybe Milwaukee sends a second rounder to Houston as well.
We get Tucker without eating into the Hayward TPE
Milwaukee gets under the luxury tax this year
Houston kinda gets what they said they wanted for Tucker

PJ Tucker sucks. He’s a complete shell. With that being said, I’d still trade Grant Williams for him.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

This cannot happen if you're trying to get around the TPE limits by trading for someone who fits into the TPE and then trade that player for someone who matches salary larger than the TPE.  You've turned it into two trades, and Milwaukee is only involved in the first trade, not the second.

I just don't see the Celtics willing to match what another team might pay for a rental this year.

Agreed.  Plus, I’m not sure we need another zero offense, good but not elite defense player.

Tucker has been ass offensively this season.  I don’t see him as a good piece to acquire without that corner three falling.
