I've always felt FG% is dumb to include.  It should be 2Pt%, 3PT%, and FT%.  Including the 3PT% twice just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, especially as the volume of 3 point shots has increased.

Ray Allen while on the C's in 08-09 shot 54.2% from 2, 40.9% from 3, and 95.2% from the line, but he isn't in the club because his FG% was only 48% as account of nearly half of his FG attempts coming from 3.  That just doesn't seem right.  The volume of 3 pointers at that percentage should be rewarded not serve as a detriment.

Exactly. Couldn’t have said it better.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

I strongly agree.  For example looking at yesterday's game, Payton shot 4-9 on 3s, which is a good 44.4%.  He didn't take a 2 pointer at all.  As a result his season to date 2pt% dropped from 50% to 49.5%.

This is cool and all but he's not even a top 10 rookie of the year candidate or in the top 10 as far as potential.

I disagree

If he was given more min and freedom and didn't have brad calling every single play from the sidelines.  He would be producing more points and assists

More than half the game he is stuck as a corner 3 pt shooter, who may or may not receive a pass

He is a solid defender kind of like VanVleet from the PG position.
