I can't take this one very seriously.  It is a faulty premise on a number of aspects that have been noted.  I think there is going to be a lot more "trade Kemba" speculation but nothing is going to happen until he is back on the court.

I think it is very likely that Kemba does get traded around the deadline or in the off season.  Where does he fit now?  Does he take minutes from Teague and Pritchard (with Smart going to the second unit)?  Do we go back to a small, 1-big core line up?

Kemba is a good player so if he takes minutes away from Smart, Teague, Pritchard, that is an upgrade but not where we need it the most.  Or if we are back to a 1-big core line up, that has a downside as well.  Too bad Kemba isn't a 6'-9" PF.

I think Clippers want Kemba. Would be an excellent fit there.

Not sure if george is who they trade for him,but as a 3 way deal with Houston i think it works.

'21 Historical Draft
PG: Kyle Lowry / Mookie Blaylock / Mark Jackson
SG: Reggie Miller / Jeff Hornacek / Nick Anderson
SF: George Gervin / George McGinnis / Kyle Korver
PF: Connie Hawkins / Serge Ibaka / Josh Smith
C: Clint Capela / Bill Laimbeer / Jusuf Nurkic

No way for this trade. A bunch of declining guys and/or bad contracts bench player Long way that Kennard deserve his 55M/4Y. Lou Willams looked catastrophic in last year PO with 12 points on 42/23. Beverley has one more year at 14M, will turn 33, is a low (and redundant) version of Marcus Smart and has speaks a little bit to much for what he brings. Zubac had plenty of playing time and don't really improve and have the same contract of Thompson with a much lesser impact. He is a correct sub 5, but we already have 2 prototype of good sub/below average starters bigs in Thompson and Theis, with Williams showing potential. And the cherry on the cake : we need a scoing wing and this trade give us inly guards and bigs...

I would be ready to move on Kemba if his value could get us more long term potential. But his value now is under is potential value on the field. Kemba is a very good guy who have still some all star or fringe all star seasons in his legs, just hoping his artris will be controlled and we manage him for good PO. We maybe should have tryed to sign Brogdon intsead of him, but we can't change it now.

Why would LAC want a guy with a knee condition that may not allow him to be the old Kemba, and if he comes back and is the old Kemba, why would we want to do one of those nickel for 5 pennies trades?

LA would do it for exactly the reason you stated:  they’re getting a nickel for five pennies.

We wouldn’t do it.  Kemba was an all-star starter last year.

Right now, Kemba is kind of a wooden nickel and LAC would not do the trade.

If he regains his old form and demonstrates durability, we wouldn't trade him.

I'm a bit unclear as to your point as to how we differ?

Are you saying that LAC would do the trade for an uncertain Kemba? If so, then we do differ.

LA would do the trade today.  Injured Kemba is a big step up over what they have.

lol LAC would jump on this trade in a heartbeat. Empty the junk off their roster in exchange for an all star.

Celtics fans have lost their minds when it comes to Kemba.

Definitely. In the minds of Cs fans, he is 42 y/o, 5'5", and has a wooden leg. The sooner he gets out there and looks like himself, the more these ridiculous rumors can go to bed.

And I am not 100% against the prospect of trading Kemba, but it better be for a young, budding, up and coming star, or another All-Star caliber player.
