He guests on Reddit podcast, and is quite good.  Kudos to him.

I miss his posting.  He could be controversial and at times frustrating, but overall, I thought he added interesting discussion.

I certainly had my 76ers related battles with him, but I actually became friendly with him in real life (well at least real in the sense of off the board and FB buds, lives across the country). I think these forums can get us all a bit fired up or annoying in the heat of the moment. I still enjoy the whole lot of you though. (Just about lol)

He has now invaded the Celtics Reddit Podcast.

I have mixed feelings.

The guy puts a lot of time into fandom.  He does have a gift for ... uh ... driving conversation.


I genuinely don't like that he breaks up the Aussie / NZ accents on the Celtics Reddit podcasts with his American accent, though.  He also has a tendency to talk for longer, and faster, than they do.


I do think there's value in having an American sports fan perspective on a show that's by and for Celtics fans, though. 



Overall I like the guy, but he had (and still has, I think) a tendency to craft takes just to get a reaction.  He would carry it over multiple threads and really invest himself in the bit to the point that it seemingly became what he actually believed.

There's a reason he had an Andy Kaufman avatar for the longest time.

He was the Ron Paul of Celticsblog: he starts talking and the first few sentences make a lot of sense, and you're like "ok this guy is smart and has a different perspective," and then five minutes later you're like "whoa how TF did we end up down this rabbit hole."

I think the fewer posters who entrench themselves with some sort of shtick makes life better for us peasants with only a couple stars.

Reddit seems like a good spot for him!
