How is choir boy Brad ever going to deal with all these tough guys on the team?

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Didn't love when a reporter said that Lebron was one of the best players ever and TT corrected to say, "The Best Ever." I'll forgive him, though, since he chose the Cs and seems genuinely excited to be here  ;)

Dude is also a pro in terms of media interviews. Maybe that is one aspect of Lebronism.

Jambr - You are a better person than I am, forgiving Thompson for his Lebron quote. Don't understand why he doesn't have at least a little bitterness with the way James once again went mercenary and left his hometown team - again - for the bright lights of LA. I have such a low opinion of Lebron James for so many reasons that I could never consider him the greatest. Sickening to see him win a title with the Lakers.

But article link says it all. Thompson wont be shy to speak up and try help elevate JT/Brown etc games to the next level. Via the ways his Cavs team was lead by Lebron

The Cavs won a title not because of leadership, but because Lebron was better than everyone else.

yup....he is no leader .....he is a one man team who, used the players around him as pawns ....the game says we have a team , a coach five players on the floor , a game plan ...etc ......Lebron changed all, that .   I think it will change again when he is gone.

Cavs won with a miraculous string of luck. Sometimes, luck is the only thing you will need to win everything.

I never thought we’d pursue Tristan if we had the dough and it aggravates me. I was really surprised. But THRILLED. I was really fearing Turner here when his name first started getting thrown around. He can calm the guys down . He can tell guys to chill out and it’ll work. ‘Cuz he’s never out to get HIS. This is fantastic. I don’t trust Brad to be able to get his message across on offense, whatever it is. We just got a lot more tough and mature. ( IMO)

Is this "LeBronism" trying to get Tatum and Brown to go to the Lakers one day to form a superteam with LeBron or Davis?

If that's the case Thompson should've went to the Lakers himself. ;D

I'm still kind of surprised he joined the Celtics

I thought it was a sure thing he was going to join Lebron/Lakers.  Perhaps the only hurdle was money

Good to hear JT, Brown, Kemba "gang" recruited him.... and it was one of the key reason he joined the team

I think Danny wants to wait for a bigger splash and I’m cool with that but I can’t deny if love to see a team defense with Smart/ Jaylen/ Tatum/ Tucker/ TT.  No disrespect to Theis . Obers the better defender. I just live the added physicality in that 5.
Anyone think there a chance we pursue Tucker another way , like for a pick?
