Fall was 2-of-4 from the field Saturday. His two misses were both hook shots -- something he has been working on in practice with assistant coach Jay Larranaga.

"We work on hook shots. We work on jump shots. We even work on my 3s, which is crazy," Fall said. "At first I was like, '3s?' But now I am starting to embrace it."

"Does this mean I should put your name in now for the 3-point contest?" a Celtics staff member joked.

As I recall, manute bol used to hit threes as well.  One of the craziest forms you’ll ever see.

If working on his 3 point form helps with his FT form, I'm all for it
I'm bitter.

C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

The NBA doesn’t want anyone in the paint

make shots inside of 5 feet worth 4 points. you would immediately see the game of basketball change.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

hard to figure how it feels for him to shoot , get a spin or rotation , just seems awkward

I m thinking how it would fell for me to shoot a grapefruit size basketball and control it .

What, you never had a Nerf hoop when you were a kid? Yo, its like that! You’re still a bit clumsy as a kid, but all you need is a step on your little brother to dunk it! You can get some wicked spin on a Nerf, but mostly you toss it at the hoop, and if you miss, just grab the rebound and dunk it. Little brother doesn’t know how to box out.

The most interesting unique Tacko perspective to me was one I heard the other day re: rebounding.  Unlike just about everyone else, the rebound trajectory from Tacko’s perspective had his arms more straight ahead or angled up/ bent elbows rather than full reach up high.  I think this makes for a more awkward catch and may put him somewhat at a disadvantage from a force standpoint when he is more flat-footed or jumping less forcefully.  Not sure I am presenting this well but while his arms are moving in a more forward direction, others are going full extension up high and driven by their leg force.  I don’t know — just made me wonder that rebounding is a different process when you can practically dunk without jumping.   Help — not sure I get what I just wrote.

I'd like him to focus on more basic things like his positioning on defense, boxing out on rebounds, his being able to roll to the basket from a high pick and roll, and to develop a reliable hook shot. Then he can focus on 3s.

Speaking of rolling to the basket, check out RJ Barrett trying to defend Tacko...RJ is 6-9 or something I think, he looked like Canute trying to stem the tide as Tacko bore down on him.  ;D

I made a post about this last night, I cannot remember the thread but I am starting to believe that being too tall may actually have some disadvantages just like being short definitely has its disadvantages for playing basketball.

Here is the post I made last night in the game thread:

'Tacko has problems rebounding because the ball is coming off the rim way under his outstretched arms. He almost has to reach down to rebound. While everyone else has to jump and extend their arms to rebound Tacko has to crouch and flex his arms. Shrug.'

I think 3s and FTs are the same thing for him
