"And while we’re here, let me say this: Anyone expecting us to “fall off” this year defensively? They might be in for a little shock"

You can't win with things like this, but I might feel slighted if I was Theis, Ojelaye, Poirier, or Green.  Everybody gets full paragraphs, even 2-way guys like Tacko and Waters, and they barely get a blurb.  Nothing worth highlighting in their games?

Glad to read the positivity though.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Hey, as long as he praises the Jays, our chemistry will be fine. Those other guys don't have egos we have to worry about.

I wonder if Semi would feel slighted that you spelled his name wrong too. ;)

Ha, I actually looked up Poirier because I didn't want to misspell anybody's names (had to make sure I didn't leave out an "i".  Sorry Jesusemilore Talodabijesu Ojeleye, don't hurt me, I'm rooting for you.

Great read from what sounded like a leader and someone who is ready to die and bleed green for the foreseeable future. Getting excited for tonight and a drama free season.

I'm sort of expecting this to be Hayward's last year here, so I sure hope we get to see a lot of good performances from him.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Somebody or People have to go eventually to make room that sign a center ...a KEEPER . this playing small ball with no serious center talent is a losing gig.

People leaving in FA won't open up space to sign a center  (if a good one even became available in FA, which is doubtful). Trading for or drafting one is probably the only way it'll happen
I'm bitter.

Green I can understand because he may not have officially made the team when Gordon wrote this, but yeah the Semi/Theis part seemed out of place

Yeah, I wonder if editors of the Players Tribune said he had to cut out paragraphs because it was too long, and he was like “Theis is my best friend on the team, and Semi is a really good dude, so they’ll understand.”

It's just funny that he's like "you know what? it's my article and I'm doing the full rundown" and then gets to the last group of guys and is like "nah i'm good with the writing. i've got video games to play"
