Man that really sucks. Now a 3rd straight serious injury within the past 12-18 months, and this one means he's done for this upcoming season. And just during a workout.

Unfortunately, I think he's done in the NBA now.

It's sad to see a guy who truly has passion for the game end his career early due to injuries. Say what you want about his issues, on the court he fully cared about winning and played hard.

whelp thats tuff luck.   I was for signing him.

Could have been the Celtics losing him instead of Lakers ,  i thought he had turned the corner in many respects last year and seemed to be getting back to form.

I d say this is the end of Boogie Nights

What a bummer for him. Sad to see such talent never get fully utilized on the big stage as well. Too bad the Kings had such bad management in place that could not surround him with the right coaches and players to make a run when he was dominating.

How many good bulky, big men starters actually make it to their 30s as stars? Off top of my head, I cannot think of too many durable one’s. Shaq of course but he had injuries that impacted him but when healthy, look out. The one’s who did not make it to 30s is a much longer list.

Kareem, Wilt, Parish, and Duncan, and  KG were more lean in stature and it seems that type of tall, leaner body type has a better chance of lasting longer.

It goes to show how when you do get a generational big man bulky talent, you best go full ahead and try to win now...Sixers come to my mind now as a team that needs to get Embiid to the finals a few times in the coming years before another injury alters his career.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
