Not a KD fan but don't see any issue with this.  The Nets should get compensation for helping the Warriors by doing the S&T.

That is something between the two FOs and had nothing to do with KD.

I understand this is the player empowerment era but replacing the FO is a bit too far!
Actually the player has to agree to be in a sign and trade.  So it most certainly had to do with KD and he was within his rights to say NO.

true .  This is an issue that needs to be resolved ,  to put the power back in the FO of the teams . Otherwise its a four team league .  The whole nba power structure control out of CA .

Man, Durant really must be the devil.  He makes a franchise that put together the most successful team of all time give up more assets, and he's the bad guy?

This is the Warriors that averaged 64 wins per season over the last 5 years and won 77 playoff games, a team somehow keeps finding a way to add All-Stars (Durant, Cousins, Russell).  GS just keeps on winning, and people are upset about this?  If he was doing this to the Lakers, some of ya'll would instead be singing his praises.

Yes he didn't have to agree to a SnT but if you've seen this before a player deciding what a fair trade is then please give a link cause for me it's a first

Any superstar with a no trade clause who has been on the block has probably done something like this.  Kobe Bryant vetoed a trade to the Bulls because he thought the Bulls were giving up too much.

This is a player looking out for his new team, I really see no problem in that.  Now if he held firm, and GS called his bluff and Russell was left with no team able to give him max money then yes I could see that as a jerk move, but I doubt GS would let that happen.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Dick move plain and simple.  If he wouldn't have agreed then Russell may have been out in the cold and you don't do that to your fellow NBA players.
That's not true.  Russell was in discussions with the TWolves before the KD sign and trade came up.

There is no issue to resolve in this.  A sign-and-trade is an agreement between 3 parties. The two teams and the player.  KD was a free agent.  GSW had no rights to him and the Nets had no rights to him.

This power back in the FO is nonsense.  Teams essentially can control 1st round picks for their 1st 8 seasons.

Agreed, I kind of like it. Players are smarter now, they want to improve the situation they go to. It's different than years previous when players were like "I don't care, just get be there." Think about how much crap Carmelo has gotten for making the Knicks give up so much to get him a couple months early. He was a great player at that time; how much different would his Knicks tenure have been if he had signed as a free agent and the knicks had either drafted those players around Carmelo or traded them for other players.

• 2012 second round pick (#38-Quincy Miller)
• 2013 second round pick (#51-Romero Osby)
• 2014 first round pick (#12-Dario Saric)
• Nuggets option to swap 2016 first round picks with Knicks (#7-Jamal Murray)

Durant has No incentive to do a S+T. He's getting the same money from the same team regardless. So why not use your leverage to make your future team better? No Brainer.

It helped the Nets too.  They didn’t just send out DeAngelo Russell, they sent out other salary that enabled them to give more money to DeAndre Jordan.

We heard that the Nets were demanding a 1st from the Celtics to help with a S&T — was that Kyrie lulling the same thing as Durant?
I doubt the accuracy of the story.  It makes little sense and its coming from WinEdited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline..  The Nets FO would be blatantly incompetent if they didn't demand compensation for enabling GSW to get Russell.

Maybe the most insecure superstar of all time.

For real.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
