Do we now the amount? Good place for him with Wall out for a long time

The veteran’s minimum.

Isaiah Thomas comes to Washington on the veteran’s minimum, per source.

I think this is a perfect opportunity for Isaiah Thomas, obviously John Wall is recovering from his injury all season long, so IT is going to have his opportunity. Especially with Thomas Satoransky signing with the bulls

Yeah, could be a great spot for him. He either hasn't been healthy and/or hasn't had a great opportunity since leaving the Celtics. So this could finally be his chance to get back to being an impact player in a contract year.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I'm glad. Feels a bit weird considering all the bad blood we had with them while IT was the man here, but it's a good spot for him. Wall out until at least the All-Star break gives IT plenty of time to show what he's got. Hopefully it's enough to net him a long-term contract

Yeah, but it was seemingly his only option. It's not like Al who left for an even more recent more bitter rival.

Hoping IT regains his form and is able to secure a better than minimum contract. I understand he has many millions of dollars and he is hardly suffering, but getting a MLE type deal in the future would prove to himself that he made it back.

Its going to be really rough watching Ish Smith beat him out for minutes.
