The Sixers are all-in on the next few years.  The Celts don't need to worry about the next few years.  The focus for the Celtics is being ready to compete a few years from now.


Yes, they just signed Kemba, but he's a stop-gap.  The Celts will still be a playoff team and will win a playoff series or two.



The Celts can't really hope to match up with the Sixers now barring injuries or a major leap from Tatum.  That's OK ... the Celts time is later.

Quite the blow. It’d be weird rooting against Al. But I guess with the loss of Redick, the sixers needed to fill that hole of one non-obnoxious guy in the roster. Simmons and Embiid are (talented) clowns.

I am not sure who is actually going to make jump shots for that Philly team...Josh Richardson?

More I think about it I am glad they did not resign Al to that kind of contract.  My guess is that would significantly impact their ability to resign Brown and Tatum.
