It was a challenging year and he didn't come through so he gives a few excuses, some new and again throws others under the bus. The guy is still the same guy, Nets are going to have issues with KD and this guy as the leaders. Both are mentally soft, selfish and can't make others better.

I'm no depression denier or anything, but I don't buy the dude's mea culpa at all. Just looking for sympathy and passing the blame for his actions towards something else.

The way he acted, the way he left, everything was not UNCHARACTERISTIC for Kyrie. He might have suffered from depression during last season, but he's just using it as a crutch for sympathy at the moment.

I think Kyrie deserves most of the scorn he gets. He quit in the playoffs, then basically ghosted the team.

It’s his character. He’s done similar things in Cleveland.  Normally I don’t like attacking free agents who leave, but Kyrie is just a jerk.

I predict this ends badly for Brooklyn. What an idiot

KD ....seems to have issues too being happy and stable least from comments in articles i ve read , i don't know him so its all hear say .   Wonder if two people suffering from simular lapses can push ahead and win a title , given how difficult it is for a group of happy people.

I hope Kyrie is working on his excuses for next year!
