Rondo is a free agent, has a great relationship with AD, has championship experience, and would be a strong floor leader for the bench squad. Also, he would be someone that would not try to battle Kyrie for playing time and shot attempts, he could actually work well together with Kyrie on the floor.

What do you guys think of signing Rondo in that situation as a Rozier replacement/upgrade?

I would not be opposed...but would rather beverly 10/10 times.

Beverly is a better shooter and defender and is just as strong a lockerroom guy at this point in his career.

I really really want to see beverly and smart on the floor together.

Teams would just quit playing them

No more potential locker room drama from fringe (at this stage of their careers) players like IT or Rondo

I think many have forgotten the negativity on the forum about No Defense Rondo during his last years as a Celtic

I was impressed with Rondo early in the year but his defense got worse and worse as the year went on.

It's a shame because he is good offensively and still capable of playing defense. Just lazy I guess.

yeah, and put him next to antoine. and IT can play with him as well.

every year we get the same threads urging us to relive the ancient past with ancient ex-celtics who are the past.

This.

Let’s move on.  Rondo isn’t here for a reason and his name is brad Stevens

TP I’d love to see them become a team with demoralizing level of defense.

Beverly over Rondo.

I think I feel the same way.  Beverly’s D would be great to add to this team while Rondo’s D is uninspiring these days.  Saying that adding a great passer like Rondo setting up our great scorers could work too. Similar to how Rozier and Irving play together at times, Rondo could probably do the same with Irving.

Speaking of old Celts Avery Bradley will be a FA too. Ha

I think there will be a lot of good choices to add role players if we gut our team a little in an AD trade.  Playing the Pacers in the first round that team alone has Evans, Mathews, Young, Collison, and Joseph as pending free agents.

I agree that Beverly would be ideal, you guys convinced me!

What ever happened to Bradley? He fell off a cliff since we traded him, I though he was going to be great in Detroit, he sputtered there, then faded away under Doc in LA.

He looked much better in Memphis for a short stint, maybe he needs the right opportunity?

Yes please let's have not one but two weirdo mercurial sourpuss point guards who are difficult to have in the locker room.

Even better that Rondo would convince himself he should be starting over Kyrie. If you thought Rozier was a problem this year......
