By the way, when they do the lottery how does it work?  If the Sacramento pick doesn't land at 14, does that mean it's in the top 5?  Top 4?

Trade the pick for Davis but not for the package mentioned. That's just bonkers. They (N.O.) would take Tatum, salary fillers (Smart, Yabu) and 2 picks (Sacramento and Memphis). Those picks would be huge assets if Sactown gets us a top 3 pick.

Marcus smart is not “salary filler”.  He’s a very good to great defensive player who can run an offense, has become an average 3-point shooter, and who just makes winning plays. Yabu is “salary filler”.

Take smart out of that deal, and we will still have a better offer than anybody else. Not better than Davis, but better than anybody else given that he has got his bags packed.

if they stay at 14th and they dont pick at 14th then its a top 4 pick
