His play has been declining, but this is the type of attitude I want to see from the players.  It may seem at times that the players are giving up, but there is still some fight left.  Watching Hayward go to the floor in the last game and Smart being Smart in the 4th quarter (yes the 3 attempt was terrible) in the Portland gave me glimmers of hope.  It's much easier to root for a struggling team when you see they are putting in the effort.  I just hope Morris backs up his words and the team starts giving more consistent effort.

Yeah, this team has shown so much fight over the years that I cannot give up on their postseason chances despite their issues in the regular season. There are so many good character guys (Jaylen, Tatum) and a couple of great characters (Smart, Horford, Baynes).

Even Kyrie - whose personality and character I am not wild about - brings something special to the table in terms of his confidence, willingness and ability to score in crunch situations. I don't consider him the engine of the team as some do (that is Horford) but more so the icing on the cake. That extra punch / taste to make the cake sweeter / more threatening. Kyrie is a guy I feel confident about in tough postseason games. A bit of a loose cannon but like a cannon - Kyrie is lethal.

That is why I still feel confident and have hope about the Celtics chances in the playoffs.

A lot of gamers here (even Morris and Rozier).

He can either put up or shut up, from the bench.

Hopefully he can back up his tweet with a willingness to adapt his role, assuming that Brad decides to change things up.

Your topic about the "Big Three" scorers made it clear that Morris should go back to the bench at this point.  He was an excellent stabilizing force for the first three months.  Since then his shooting has regressed to the mean.  This team needs to roll with the group that provides the highest ceiling.  Morris' minutes should fluctuate off the bench based upon his shooting on a nightly basis.

Hopefully Morris is ready to accept a bench role.

Possibly Mark Jackson's sole positive contribution to the game of basketball from the commentary box: "Fake hustle".

Morris has somehow become the epitome of "Fake hustle" this season. Plenty of bravadoes, pointing and barking on the court, chest pounding, yet too lazy running back or making proper close-outs.

Pity - he was always an unconscious gunner but he'd put in some serious shifts on the other side.

I should be happy if he were dropped out of the rotation for Ojeleye. Redistribute his shots. Perhaps not practical/too dramatic from a personnel dynamics POV?

TP. I didn't catch that call, but I agree entirely. Fake hustle is Morris epitomised. It's a real shame, because early in the season he was winning us games.

I agree about Ojeleye. Give Semi 15 or so minutes regularly, make Morris play less and give the remainders to Brown and Hayward. Give those two most of his shots too. Don't think Brad would ever do something like that

Totally agree with the Semi comments.  I have been thinking the exact same thing for a while.  I think it like really benefit guys Brown, Tatum, and Hayward (who has taken a total of 5 shots in his last two games).

Morris isn't shooting well anymore and shooting is all he has.

Time to move him to the second unit.

Or at least limit his minutes!
