This is getting ugly with Lukes job on the line and all their young players  threatened as well as ours. If the  trade deadline passes without a deal, it will sabotage a whole season.
Now dragging Kyrie into this with rumors he might leave to help justify Davis and his LA quest..
Seems like the inmates run the asylum,
When will basketball fans rebel and just tune in for playoffs or just wait for March Madness.I did that when the Celtics stopped playing defense after the Bird era and came back when KG brought back Celtics Pride.

Honestly I've gotten to the point that what I'm longing for is a time when the core of the roster is clearly set in stone and there are no more moves to be made.

Whether or not the team is among the very best, I would like to know that the guys at the heart of the team are definitely in the plans moving forward and we can just watch and see how things turn out.

This whirlwind rebuild since 2013 has been thrilling, but I'm ready to just watch the team and not wonder who's gonna still be here in six months.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

It does make you wonder at what point it stops, and Ainge finds the core he wants to roll with.  Who exactly is our next 'big 3'?

At some point the team needs to know the core is set and there is some stability.  I'm not sure the team can reach it's peak without that.

I really hoped this season would be the season everything looked stable and we weren't looking into the future so much but it hasn't been at all.

I'm tired of it too.  We can't make this trade until after the season and the Pelicans will probably wait until then to get the best offer.

Plus, I like the guys we have and don't enjoy all the discussion of shipping some of them out.  I'd rather just enjoy this season and wait until the season is over before worrying about all of this.

That's certainly true. All this stuff takes away the fun from playing out the season.

But I thought that it was always about acquiring another star. Why else did we have all these draft picks? And I never really believed that we could win a championship with just one All Star (Irving).

Of course we can wait till Brown and Tatum make that leap, but I'll take the sure thing in Davis. I'm also not that fond of Tatum as others (though I'd hate to lose Smart or Brown).
