23 points and 10 boards. That's not why. Defensive effort in crunch time. Closing out on Jimmy Butler. Crashing the boards with an attitude.

The Bill Russel block straight down to the floor was maybe the biggest play of the game. Tatum is no where near Paul Pierce status, but if he keeps playing defense and coming up with Marcus Smart like plays in addition to his offensive that's exactly how Pierce won us over.

TP!  Couldn't agree more about Tatum's effort on Butler.  He made him work for every shot.  This is the effort we can expect to see in the playoffs.

Yup, Tatum had a big hand in last night's win.

Jayson is playing free and easy with this new lineup. He seems to be letting the game unfold before him.

Hats off on a really nice game yesterday.

Agree.  He was not shooting well but he played hard, kept with it and made big plays down the stretch.

If only his fellow top-3 pick could follow his lead.
