ORL gets: Gordon Hayward, Terry Rozier, Guerschon Yabusele
BOS gets: Jonathan Isaac, Evan Fournier, Timofey Mozgov,

Why for the Celtics?
- Isaac is a terrific prospect who can shoot it from deep and possibly one of the most defensively versatile prospects in the league.
- Evan Fournier may be going through a shooting slump right now, but he’s a proven vet who demands defenders to be honest. Can get hot easily from 3.
- Mozgov is probably toast, but would be valuable next season as an expiring contract in any potential blockbuster deal ($16 mill expiring).
- Hayward is still a really good player, it’s just an unfortunate case of a good player and a good team who aren’t a good match. It happens. Would get out of his enormous contract while picking up a good young prospect, a good starter, and an expiring.
- Rozier is gone after this year anyways.

Possible rotation

K. Irving / M. Smart
J. Brown / E. Fournier
J. Tatum / J. Isaac
M. Morris /
A. Horford / A. Baynes

Another variation of this trade, if you prefer:

ORL gets: Gordon Hayward & Terry Rozier
BOS gets: Jonathan Isaac, Terrence Ross, Timofey Mozgov, OKC 1st round pick.

Why, oh why, would Orlando do this?

Hayward likely has negative trade value at the moment.

Jonathan Isaac is worth a lot more than Rozier.

Yabu is a non asset.

Because it gets them a starting point guard, desperately needed wing scoring, and probably gets them in to the playoffs.

What wing scoring do they get?

It seems like they'd be losing wing scoring...

Hayward absolutely does not have negative value right now.  Everyone knows he is coming back from an injury, but he is making progress and actually improving.

That said, I honestly have no idea why either team does this trade.  I don't think it helps either.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Did Hayward even play in the last game?

This was my initial reaction as well. Hayward is getting his rhythm back, but you can't get an all-star player coming off an injury in the prime of his career for so little.
