It's interesting but in the east the best teams are showing already that they will get a playoff spot... only washington is out with hornetts having a good start.. i do not expect a big battle there... but in the west.. clippers nola and Memphis showing now that they are good and minessots and thunder are very bad right now..  houston will probably be better.. so will the lakers.. there are 12 teams for 8 spots.. hopefully we will get one more pick from clippers or Memphis

Not really all that surprising after all the West presumably had 12 good teams (not SAC, DAL, PHO) while the East presumably had 7 good teams (I'd include Washington and not Detroit/Charlotte).  Thus, given the depth of the West and that it is so early, it really isn't surprising to see some strange results.  Take Houston, they are 1-4, but they've played only good teams, have the suspension, and are integrating players (NO, LAL, LAC, Utah, LAC).  It will all balance out in the end with teams ultimately ending up in the same general range of the expected W/L barring injuries and the occasional surprise (both good and bad).

They are also playing super fast and have all season long.  They only game they were under 107 was their 97 point win against the Grizzlies.  They've been over 130, one other time, and over 120, three other times (they lost 2 of those games).  They are scoring a lot and have been all season long.
