Today, I was digging through my correspondence with another C's fan last year, and I found this:

Yeah. I was wrong. In Ainge I Trust. What were you wrong about? (in spectacular, glorious, wrongness, preferably!)
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

TP for owning up to it! Many of us have doubted Ainge's major moves the past two years at one point or another, but we learned eventually, trust in Danny!

I originally thought IT's hip trouble was inflated by Cavs to get extra picks. With hindsight, it was more like their medical staff doing their job.

I also expected Zizic to be better, although he still has some marginal chances for an NBA career.

Man. I need a slice of that humble pie tooooo. I was fully ready to just scrap the whole Kyrie for IT trade because I thought the Cavs were Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing with us.

To err is human!

The irony here is that we picked up an extra pick in the Tatum trade and STILL, more people were unhappy than not.

Yeah, and I actually liked Tatum. Just not with the First pick. Not when Fultz was available .

A couple of years ago, I was willing to trade Smart or Rozier for Greg Monroe.   >:(

Fultz still could end up better than Tatum.  I was good with the trade because I didn't think Fultz had franchise player potential.  I thought there were several players relatively on the same tier with Fultz.

Im not worried about their end of it anyway.  Sure, Fultz can be better than Tatum.  By my chief concern is that it’s worked about marvelously for us.

I agree Tatum has worked out great so far.  If next year's pick turns out good too, Fultz would probably need to turn into a franchise level player for the Sixers to come out ahead.
