Tatum/Brown - allstars next year?

I think established stars will be picked ahead of them until their time comes.

One thing that depends here is how/if the East gets shaken up.

The big free agents that could move:
LeBron
George
Cousins

Teams I think could potentially shake things up/blow it up:
Washington (Wall, Beal)
Portland (Lillard, McCullom)
Charlotte (Walker)
Cleveland (Love)
Toronto (DeRozen, Lowry)
San Antonio (Leonard, Aldridge)

If the established vets stay West, or move West, that opens up spots in the East.

Plus there's always the injury factor, who knows how many usual All-Star locks are healthy when it's time for the actual All-Star game.

I think Kyrie + 1 of Brown/Tatum/Hayward will make it. But I think Hayward will get the nod if he's back fully.

I don't know the answer, but the fact that the Celts could start 5 guys who legitimately have a chance at the All-Star game is crazy. (Kyrie, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Horford)

All I want from this off-season is for all five of those guys to be ready to go on opening night.

Brown has consistency issues to get over. Sometimes he looks flat out uninterested in the game.

On another note, you signify a fascinating picture.

This could be a CRAZY off season. Maybe not on our end, but certainly lots of movement, blowing it up, stars going elsewhere and possibly shifting the balances of power, etc.

It's amazing to think a few years ago people were talking about how elite, dynamic and fearsome the McCollum-Lilliard and DeRozan-Lowry and Beal-Wall back courts were and how other teams should hope for similar. Now they ALL could be broken up, or maybe two of the teams decide to change things up (like idk, Portland and Washington swap Beal and McCollum lol?)

I think with Hayward and Irving back they wont get the counting stats needed. Brown will likely be listed as a guard which makes it difficult to nab a spot in the East (Lot more good G than F).Tatum still too young. I will say no, but year after maybe

Tatum is still a pup. Plus I wonder who will lose minutes where Hayward comes back.

It may be a bit early on both of them.

I doubt it, but Jaylen Brown's development this season was pretty surprising -- I know many were seeing the potential last year, but the speed of growth this season has been just pretty amazing.  So if he takes another leap -- I guess ASG is possible, but seems too soon to me.


Re: Jayson, he looked like a veteran from the outset and his performance in the playoffs has been outstanding.   If he has a big series v. the Cavs, his growing recognition will continue and he may be thought of nationally as a budding star (so he'll be watched by the media and fans across the country -- and the C's will have much more national exposure next year).  So depending on how he starts the season, I think it's not out of the question.  But also unlikely.

Tatum can be an all-star fairly quickly.  Not sure Brown will ever get there, but he can be really good.

It’s going to be awesome to have a great team next year, but part of me is a little unhappy to have to slow down Tatum and Brown’s development.  They are improving so rapidly how things are right now with Irving and Hayward absent.  It’s going to be strange to know how Tatum can carry a scoring load in the playoffs at age 20 and then have him put the brakes on because his scoring won’t be needed as much.  He should be ready to be a prime time scorer next year.

Im not sure there are any better. He is just on the outside looking in at this point but I would at this rate of growth i would take him over DeRozen after next year.
