Call me paranoid, call me negative, call me a conspiracy theorist...but I'm genuinely scared that the league and officials are going to do everything in their power to make this go 7 games.
Cs/Sixers is now officially the only series still going on. That means if we win tonight, there's no basketball for 3 days. You really think Adam Silver wants his league going dark for 3 days? Especially after last year's playoffs?
Do people remember just how bad last years playoffs were? Yes Cs fans got to endure a 6 and 7 game series in the 1st and 2nd round, but nationally speaking, the playoffs were awful last year. Golden State lost 1 game all playoffs and Cleveland lost 2. It was so bad that it was the fewest amount of total games in an NBA playoff tournament ever. In turn, the league lost A LOT of money which caused the salary cap to not go up like teams thought it would. This is why the Hayward signing took longer than expected and a big reason as to why Avery Bradley ended up being traded.
Do we really think the league is going to endure this 2 years in a row if it has anything to say about it? I'm thinking no. I'm sure a Philly/Boston Mother's Day game 7 sounds REAL good to them and at that point, they won't care who plays Lebron.
