Why would he do us a solid when there is no loyalty in sports?
That is an inaccurate statement.
I have witnessed hundreds of examples of loyalty in sports worldwide.
It is true that the bigger the money/market, lesser the loyalty, as there are more options for the subject and therefore the whole perception is different.
Also worth noting, per IT4, he openly criticized DA that he has no loyalty, while in my eyes, as a Boston Celtic fan, his loyalty was huge in that trade as he cemented our team's positive direction. He was loyal toward me and my hopes. He assured me that my wishes toward this Celtic generation will come true within the next decade.
He wouldn't be as loyal if he signed our ex-starting 5 to unfavorable long-term contracts and ridden into the sunset. That would be like backstabbing me, but he would be loyal to IT then.
