Sucks that he never panned out here but he is still young (no pun intended) and there's still plenty of opportunities for him to bounce back in the league.

Wanted to post Bill Simmons fist pump GIF. Sorry, I'm old and don't know how to embed. But you get the idea. Feel free to PM me if you can help!

Yawn - No news of merit here, Sixers got a 15th man on the bench.

Some reason I keep thinking about Young and what it was about him that he just couldn't get over the hump in the NBA.

Was he not talented enough or does he not have the drive required to be an NBA player or alittle of both? I never saw anything in his game that excited me, even his stroke that everyone marveled at never impressed me.
ok fine

It would have been a strange move but in hind site I have to wonder if the Cs should have signed Young to a two-way instead of Allen. He is still only 22 2 years younger then Kadeem Allen and its safe to say still has a much higher upside.

If he worked out, C's would have had three young J's on the team.

James Young is still only 22 years old and has been more productive then Allen who is already 25 in the G-League. I like allen and think he is the type of defensive guard who can crack the bottom of a roster but my point is Young still could find his way into a rotation down the road. I'm not saying Young is the high upside prospect many of us viewed him as when he was drafted but it isn't a stretch to think a 22 year old high end prospect matures and at 25 is playing a role off of a teams bench.

Who cares!  People are gonna be still using the excuse that this kid is young and still has a chance when he's 30.  BUST!
