Kidd and Nash were on the same team although young. Kevin Johnson Nash and Kidd were on the same team in 1996 on the Suns.

How many championships did the double PG teams win?   That's right, zero.

The closest matches I can think of are:

70s Lakers = Jerry West and Gail Goodrich = both guys more combo guards than PGs only
70s Knicks = Walt Frazier and Earl Monroe = Monroe more of a combo guard
80s Pistons = Isiah Thomas and Joe Dumars = Joe D more of a combo guard

TP my first thought was Clyde and Earl the Pearl

I’m just listing great backcourts some aren’t point guards. My bad.

Irving and Smart or Rozier of course.

In all seriousness, the Big O and Cousy played together in Cincinnati.  Granted both were past their prime, but it is hard to top the original triple double machine and the original assist artist

2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

That's a flawed argument. They league has skewed small with such an emphasis on shooting over the past few years that it really feels like having two elite guards that can handle the ball, shoot, and score at will is a solid foundation to build a team around. We're seeing the experiment now in Houston with CP3 and Harden.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

This is a terrible argument IMO. Are you telline that Irving, Trae Young, Horford, Tatum, Brown, Smart, Rozier couldn't win a title? Of course they could.

Nope it illustrated what a terrible premise your two points are in terms of winning titles.   A lot title teams had great point forwards too, like the Celtics in the 80s and the 90s Bulls.   There is little reason to go double PG,

How about Curry and Irving as your Starting backcourt instead of Thompson. Think they could win it all? Rest my case. It's about the other players as much as anything.

We will never know because this team does not exist.   NBA execs don't out together these teams often because they don't win titles.   Hypothetically could they win, sure, but it won't happy because neither of them could defend the other teams guards in tough situations.  So you better dust off your case...

Nonsense. Draymond Green, Iggy, Durant, Irving, Curry Core wins a title 3 out of five years. To think otherwise is silly.

Thank you RJ. TP. My point exactly. Given the choice of the next Curry or Irving or the next Dwight Howard, I'm going with The next Curry in Trae Young.

If Trae Young is such a lock to be the next Curry then a guy like Ayton is basically a lock to be the next Admiral. Considering our team, I take the Admiral 10/10
