Theyre content to coast and hope IT can save em in the playoffs since Bron will still be Bron.

Hope them Raptors will give em a hell of a series come playoff time.

I think it was less about effort and more about them not caring.  But a win is a win.

They had played in Cleveland the night before, and I think that explains a lot of what we saw. But even still, that was a sluggish effort, and that's being diplomatic.

Keep in mind that this team is one of the oldest on the league and has virtually no above average defenders besides Lebron. Iman Shumpert being injured last night didn't help matters. Jae Crowder's defense has been below his standards all year. But no matter what happens, this team is going to be bad defensively.

LeBron dictates if/when the team is geared up for a regular season game.  He will always put up individual stats but ultimately the team follows his lead regarding a sense of urgency.  I have no doubts that he downplayed the importance of the game.

The Celtics were VERY sharp last night but I agree regarding the effort level from Cleveland.  They crumbled against any resistance.  Last night aside, I think we are looking at a 7 game series if we play the Cavs in the playoffs.

Regardless, that was a good win for the C's. Even though it was their 4th straight, the previous 3 wins all felt a little wobbly and those came on the heels of that 5-6 stretch. A decisive 14 point win against a contender really warms my heart right now.

Listen, all we will hear today from talking heads is how the Cavs came off a B2B and the Celtics were rested.

Umm, just last week the Celtics came off a B2B and played the Rockets and they were rested...and the Celtics were down by 26 and came back and won.

I don't care how it looked or who the Cavs played. They're suppose to have all this depth and experience. They're old and as the season goes on, you don't get younger legs, you get older legs. IT wouldn't have made a difference. I believe the Cavs held him out because they didn't want Smart being physical with him. I'm just saying.

Good win C's. Now let's hear the excuses.

I really don't get why the NBA makes so many teams travel on a back to back.  It makes no sense at all.  I understand the need for back to backs, but they should be home games (or no travel road games i.e. NY/BKN or LAL/LAC).  There is no reason to make a team travel in the middle of the night to play a game 12 hours later.

the cavs didn't care about this game at all... i'm surprised they didn't just forfeit.

the pierce retirement game is the one they want. that'll be the game where no one can shoot and we'll get outrebounded by 50 and IT will probably have 40.
