Might actually be a good option. I'm pleasantly surprised by Larkin's defense, which has been pretty good. He uses his foot speed to keep in front of his opponents, avoiding screens and applying ball pressure.

IT has had some trouble with smaller guys. I know Tyler Ulis gave IT a lot of trouble.

However, it was length that gave him the most trouble. Sean Livingston gave him fits.

I think IT has trouble with guys with length who play him physically, too.  CLE knew this and big bodied him often.  He simply can't take the prolonged physicality.

But really who cares about defending Isiah after last years playoffs.  Simple pick taller guy ends up with IT on him, shoots over him.

No matter what if anyone thinks of last years playoff series and HOW EASY it was for cavs to score on this non play it can be done again very easily.  Clevelands defense is sub par now, as their older team continues to play season they will be worse.  IT for all his effort is is 4'0.  Pick and switch with anyone from JB up is an uncontested jump shot play and simple

Guys we have a guy on the team who shoots under 30% 3pt yet has a major role on the team due to defense. Smart will guard him. He has the size speed and defensive ability to be his biggest nightmare to date.

He wouldn't be a bad option in a physical match up way for a bit but Smart or Rozier are better, and then those guys can go at him more on offense.  The Celtics definitely need to go at him.

It's not a tactic I can see Stevens using. Larkin won't get much playing time against the Cavs in any game that counts or at any important time in a game. He came on for rubbish minutes tonight. Nobody has mentioned Kyrie? I am sure with focus KI could slow IT down.

I remember IT playing very well for the Celtics against Larkin back when Larkin was playing for the Brooklyn Nets. IT usually does pretty well against guys his own size. A rarity when they cause him problems.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Jaylen get minutes on IT in the playoffs. No one is as quick as IT but Jaylen is still very quick and is just so much bigger, as long as he doesn't get baited into fouling, Jaylen should be able to contain IT as well as anyone.

And as good as the Cavs have been (and as scary as Lebron is) there is still always a wing player than Brad can stash Kyrie on, too.
