I noticed the backs of these jerseys fold in the back around the shoulders. What is the point of this? Looks really strange...

Agreed. The Celtics uniforms look horrible. Many teams don't have the different color trim like the Cs do, so I think other teams uniforms don't look as bad.

I hate this feature of their unis. Looks like the jersey got accidentally folded over. Silly look, in my opinion.

I actually love this on the new jerseys. Its a more athletic and youthful cut. It's closer to what some college jerseys have been doing:

Old Jersey:

New Jersey:

It's a nice change, imo, that doesn't overstep in deviating from the classic look. It's good to keep things fresh. I'm sure eventually they will return to the classic trim.

Especially since we have this young and athletic team I think it's a welcome addition to ring in a new era. The closeup is not the best part about it. I think the new look translates better when your watching the game on TV or in the stands.

I’m guessing it’s some sort of sweat technology reason or something from Nike. If you look closely on the back where it cuts off it’s all perforated

I kinda like it too. It is just a little touch, not like our jerseys became pink or something.

But honestly, when I read the title for the 1st time, I thought New Jersey Nets (tattooed in my brain) play weaker in black jerseys. LOL

Supposed to help with movement. Too bad they rip apart easy and don’t absorb sweat correctly lol

At first glance I keep thinking the shirts have extra material and are trying to turn themselves inside out in that area.  I don't like it at all.
