Since March including playoffs Horford shooting 51% -Kyrie is getting him so much time and space he is deadly. He makes a three look like a foul shot.First quarter till he turned an ankle he was moving with pace of Lonzo Ball. Before the board vigilante(Eddie 20 and Moiso kick off)Just meant he was snatching boards and taking off down court like he was 21 again.
I bet he can't wait to get on court with Kyrie in Atlanta.

Horford is shooting lights out. Centers don't even want to come out that far. The Celtics can run PNR all day with so many different people. It's like a breath of fresh air watching how easily we get buckets.

...and to think we don't even have 25ppg Hayward.

Finals next year for sure and if the Cavs have any injuries it could be this year. The Cavs look old and as the season goes on older guys get older. Crowder isn't making the impact they thought he would.

Top shooters in the NBA so far this year:

Criteria:
1) At least 200 minutes played so far
2) At least 100 FGA
3) At least a .300 3PAr (i.e, at least 30% of FGA are 3PT attempts.  This is to screen out guys with high efficiencies who just dunk like Drummond & DeAndre).

eFG% (effective shooting efficiency)
1.  Otto Porter  .672
2.  Klay Thompson  .637
3.  Al Horford  .635
4.  Kevin Durant  .634
5.  Robert Covington  .631
6.  Aaron Gordon    .624
7.  Kyle Kuzma   .621
8.  Stephen Curry   .620
9.  Gary Harris   .619
10. Evan Fournier  .598

3PT%
1.  Aaron Gordon  .559
2.  C.J. McCullum  .547
3.  Otto Porter   .525
4.  Al Horford  .515
5.  Robert Covington  .492
6.  Kevin Durant   .492
7.  Evan Fournier  .474
8.  Gary Harris   .469
9.  Klay Thompson  .467
10. Tobias Harris  .459

TS% (scoring efficiency)
1.  Stephen Curry  .690
2.  Otto Porter  .678
3.  Kevin Durant  .668
4.  Al Horford   .660
5.  Aaron Gordon  .652
6.  Robert Covington  .644
7.  Klay Thompson  .642
8.  Kyle Kuzma  .640
9.  Evan Fournier  .635
10.  Gary Harris  .625

Obviously, the season sample size so far is tiny.   These lists will look very, VERY different by the end of the season.

But so far, Al Horford has definitely been one of the most efficient shooters / scorers in the NBA this season.

Horford is the best passing big man in the game as well. And this year he is amongst the best defensive bigs, too. Pretty special combo and shows that Horford having maybe his best year of his career.

Small sample size but if he can keep this up...wow!!!

May be the best current in-game 3pt. Shooting big. At the same time, would you bet on him in a shootout against Ryan Anderson?

He looks so much better than last year.  Maybe we have the basketball equivalent of Big Papi now.   :P

Horford has been awesome.  We are lucky to have him because he does so many things very well.  He looks a few years younger this year.  I wonder if he had some chronic soreness last season that cleared up over the offseason.

Based on the preseason 3 point contest, no way.  Horford doesn't get them up fast enough.  Without a time limit... maybe
I'm bitter.

Nice job thanks and a big TP---Now remember 51% this is since March and during playoffs with its intensity and gameplans so it spread out that makes it even more impressive

What's also encouraging is how well CBS manages minutes - that'll help to keep Horford fresh long into the season.

Moreover, now we have guys like Theis and Baynes who can provide hustle/energy and physicality, respectively, against opposing bigs. That helps take the strain of Al as well.

Putting it simply

Horford LOOKS like a man on mission ....he knows what he wants and what its going to take to get there.....I never seen him so locked in since college.

I haven't either!!  Horford's whole approach to the game has changed, he is aggressively rebounding, help defending and is clearly playing with an edge and purpose that he did not have before.  The difference between last year and this year is dramatic.

Horford clearly is on a hot streak right now from 3 point range. He has been quite streaky in the past and my guess is he will st some point cool off.
