Brads coaching staff also tested in its prepping our guys to play against the combo of George Carmello and Westbrook. How to attack this group defensively and forcing them to not play as a cohesive unit.So the game plan will be very important and match ups.Reactions to foul situations.Use of Marcus and Rozier.Baynes and Theis
Marcus Morris a wildcard-will he even play
Jaylen and Jason and possible foul trouble
.One bonus the refs not calling the fouls with lean in or as a shooting foul.Moving screens will help Marcus defend Westbrook.
Brad and staff are as important as players in keeping this game under control with all its moving parts and possibilities.
'This is team vs superstars tonight
It's.some test but we are on a win streak and i quess you would say rested and probably well prepped. Now we have to execute as a team.

I agree 100%.  Our chemistry and team play is superior to theirs but they have a clear edge in firepower.  The Thunder have the ability to hang in there with scoring ability alone.  Steven Adams can also negate some of the rebounding advantage we have had against most others team.  The most interesting test tonight will be in the closing minutes of a tight game.  If OKC plays with urgency then I'm expecting it to be close.  I am interested to see how Brad manages the final minutes and whether or not the team can execute under pressure.

Oh I don't know that Stevens is going to be anymore tested tonight than any other regular season road game. He always seems to have his players prepped and ready, which is the hardest thing to do.

The Celtics will run their sets regardless of who is out there for each team. The Celtics will play their regular defense with Baynes starting because of Adams.

Really like the Jaylen matchup over Roberson but don't see Stevens force feeding the ball to Jaylen to take advantage of it.

This is a test for the players, not so much for the coach.

Huh? Roberson is one of the best defenders in the game and I worry that he'll completely shut Brown down

I know Roberson is a good defender. Still like the matchup.

This is a young inexperienced team this is the first tough match up and on the road..This is a much more complicated game than the Knicks,or Philly or Charlotte .Substitutions and match ups will be critical.Three great scorers and a big banging center-Westbrook alone is a nightmare to contain
Hopefully skinny Marcus can make him work.

Brad can also match his longest win streak with 7. Set between Jan 25th - Feb 5th 2017.

Roberson is a plus defender but this season so far he isn't shutting people down. Brown will get his against him. I think his defense is overstated much like people felt AB was. They have same skill set. Stick to their guy, slip through screens and don't bite on fakes often.
ok fine

Robertsons confidence is at all time low ATM.
His shots are hitting the parts of the board that haven't been tested so far. His corner threes are especially tragicomical. It is a long season, he will defend, but defenses will never respect him. Even if he is 5/7 in the game from downtown, as we have seen.
Jaylens forte on the road should be defense and transition, the "will" things, since his shot isn't falling away from home.

Jaylen hasn't shown the consistency to get his on a night in, night out basis.  If I guy and a team wants to concentrate on shutting him down it probably would not be all that difficult.

What the heck are you talking about...

He's dropping 16.3 PPG, 5.9 RPG, and shooting 41% on 3pt....

If that isn't the model of consistency for someone who is a sophomore, and thrown into the lions den, then I really don't know what to tell you.....

Averages aren't consistency.  Jaylen has scored over 20 points 3 games this season but he's also scored under 10 points 3 games this season.  That's the opposite of consistency from a scoring perspective.  Just entering his 2nd season that's to be expected and not necessarily a bad thing.

#### Roberson! Brown gets what Brown wants. I like to see more aggressiveness going to the basket. once that happens, its All-star time!

Brown has had 2 out of his last 3 games as very mediocre performances. Before last game he was shooting 33% from 3 pt land and one hot night sent his % skyrocketing to 41%.
He's also shooting only 63% from the line which he said he's disappointed in.

It's great to light up poor teams like the Kings, but a Western Conference contender like the Thunder is another beast altogether.

Brown's biggest knock right now is his inconsistency on offense.
Personally I think he's a bit gassed and adjusting to the enormous minutes he's having to play with Hayward and Morris out.

To his credit, the one thing he's been consistent about is his defensive effort and intensity. When a young guy plays that hard on the defensive end and takes the toughest defensive cover every night on the wing, he's going to lose a bit of spring on the offensive end and struggle occasionally.

Dude's got killer work ethic and attitude so fingers crossed he can become more consistent on offensive end as season goes on.
He's only in his 2nd season. Imagine what he'll be in 2-3 years from now  8)
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
