I dont get why we have to put down other rookies to praise our own players.

Simmons has some work to do on aspects of his game, but so does Brown. If he becomes elite elsewhere, he is still going to be good without a jumpshot. Esp if if he becomes decent in that aspect he will be terrifying, just look at Giannis.

Its too early, just too early, to say definitive things about any of this prospects.

So when is it no longer early? Let's say the Fultz trend continues for 1 season what's the next excuse ?

Excuse? You guys are the only ones obsessing about players from other team. All I'm doing is giving them the benefit of the doubt, injury is actually the logical explanation rather than he would change his decent, working form for nothing.

If the Fultz situation doesnt get resolved in a few months, then yes you can say things about his shooting (the form specifically). The Sixers staff deemed it was fixable by therapy and no need to shut him down.

Regarding Ball, Simmons etc. Parts of their games wont be resolved in 1 season. Heck several years in Avery Bradley was still adding stuff to his game. Even 1 year is too soon. (or else we can say good bye to Brown ever having an in between game or have a tight dribble)

Philly lost a close one on buzzer  but it was the perfect example why Tatum or Brown are my top choices.
Simmons had good stats but missed 2 crucial foul shots in a row and  later with a 2 point lead and the clock winding down he made his move going left but he couldn't turn the corner and couldn't put up a right hand jump shot so he kicked it to another player who drove and threw up an air ball as 24 second clock went off .With 5.6 seconds. Houston hit a corner three with time running out to win.
