Was on YouTube and this video about Guerschon Yabusele was suggested.
The person who made this video believes that Guerschon Yabusele will be our starting Center this year because he is better than Baynes offensively and can guard Centers better than Morris, allowing Al to guard 4s and not have to bang with big guys.
This is the first person I've seen suggest that Yabusele should be starting. It is usually either team Morris or team Baynes. I even heard Theis should start a couple of times. This guy was confident that Yabusele will be out starting center.
I disagree because I do not think Yabusele is ready to start.
Take a look at the video and let me know your thoughts on Guerschon Yabusele starting at center: https://youtu.be/Po0Xf7JakpE
He makes a number of good points, including the critical need to save wear and tear on Al Horford.
With his handles and shooting, Yabu looks like he'd be a matchup nightmare for bigs guarding him; and he's got good weight and length.
The vid also makes a good point that players and coaches prefer consistent lineups; but this team has so much that's new and uncertain that we can expect all sorts of experiments.
I love the provocative out-of-the-box prediction, but I can't honestly say that I've got an opinion. My prediction has been Horford/Morris starting, but I'm pretty clear that that's got drawbacks (as does Horford/Baynes, for that matter).
We'll see how Yab and Theis manage team defense at this level pretty soon.
