Instead the Celtics and Cavaliers make this trade to send Isaiah to CLE and Irving to BOS.

DANG.

And by "Evil Empire", I mean obviously the Cavaliers team which included the core of Lebron, IRVING, Love, Mr. Kardashian, etc.

Isaiah, CBS, and the C's were really hoping to prove the doubters wrong in the coming years and overtake CLE. Lebron has had A TON of history vs. Boston over the years (as we know), and both Love and Irving have KILLED us especially in playoff games (unfortunately).

So you think from those beatings and everything, the team would improve and work towards taking down the evil empire (in the East). Isaiah led the charge here.

And yet Isaiah, Crowder + others/pick head to CLE and the Celtics get back the guy who has killed them numerous times in the playoffs.

AWKWARD.

What could have been a storybook tale with the Celtics building towards avenging and beating CLE (a team w/IRVING, James, Love, etc.) through improvements suddenly feels really, really awkward.

I guess I'm just NOT used to these kinds of trades. It's almost like imagining the Warriors and Spurs making a big trade in the off season LOL.

It's definitely strange, even for Cleveland fans I assume.

And yep, these trades usually never happen between top teams in a conference.
