What many people fail to include when they evaluate this trade is the value that KI brings to the Boston Celtics from a marketing standpoint. No matter what you think about the difference between the BB talents of the players in this trade, NOT ONE OF THEM has more Worldwide celebrity then KI. The Boston Celtics will benefit from that by having more exposure. We are already seeing it in the media with the trade hype. We should get more National Games & deeper playoffs means more and longer exposure. The owners are going to be rewarded with great profits which will allow them to pay higher luxury taxes. Do you think this had any consideration in this trade?

Ya I was thinking that too. I was watching an Irving highlight video where Durant said he was better than Iverson. I think having that kind of respect from someone as great as Durant is huge (whether it's true or not).

Some older basketball purists might love and appreciate that Paul Pierce "old man game", but these up and coming generations love them some flashy 1 v 1 ankle-breaking-shoot-a-three-in-your-face Rucker's Park basketball (myself included).
