I was bummed when Danny traded #1 after I spent so much time researching Fultz.

But the truth is that Fultz is really only Kyrie-Lite.

The Celtics got the real deal...and now I am not bummed anymore.   ;D

Imagine if the trades had been Kyrie for Fultz and Tatum + the Lakers pick for Isaiah, Crowder, Zizic, and the Nets pick. I think a lot of people would grade the trades a little higher for us.

Yes, their skillsets are quite similar and of course Kyrie has much more experience and a refined play. But the most important part is, we all know that Kyrie can be clutch as hell, and score against playoff defenses. We have no clue if Fultz can be like that as his college games didn't amount to something important.

Ahh yes, I don't hear many people stating this fact.

Who thought we'd come out of this offseason with Irving, Hayward and Tatum.

Yup, when I was scouting Fultz, Kyrie was the comp that I came up with and I shared that comp on this board several times.  Now instead of a backlog PG situation with Fultz and a gimpy IT, we have Kyrie, Tatum and might even add another top 5 pick that could be a nice big man.

I love the roster balance of that talent influx.

It will be fun watching Fultz and Ball trying to cover Irving.
