take back IT and add in Larkin.  Then I'd send them a picture of my ballsack.   they knew the deal.

Send Ainge your resume', I like your opening gambit.  Hard to stomach the deal as it is.

I might give a future pick like of ours but that is it. There is no way I send Brown/Tatum or that Lakers pick and even the Memphis pick I say no. Can you imagine if we give that Lakers pick and the Cavs end up with 1 and 2 in the draft, or even two top 5 picks. This is not Davis we are talking about after all.

This is how far I go to get it done. Put #1 protection on the Brooklyn pick and tell them to pound sand. That pick is the only thing keeping LeBron there beyond this season. I don't think Kris Middleton, Justice Winslow or Eric Bledsoe keep GM LeBron there. However, the most valuable asset in the league (Brooklyn pick), can get them whoever LeBron wants in return.

They have no leverage to ask for more.

If anything, it should be us asking for more
well, the problem with putting any sort of protection on the brooklyn pick is that is may be a deal breaker for the cavs.

look at this way, if the protection kicks in (whatever it may be) then the cavs do not get the pick from brooklyn. if they do not get that pick, then what else could the celtics give them that would make the cavs say "yes"?

offer a celtics pick in the 20s? i doubt that will make the cavs want to make this deal.

the cavs want the trade primarily for the brooklyn pick it seems. to potentially take it off the table would seem to doom the deal.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Where did you get the idea that Lebron has any interest in the #1? The pick is for post-Lebron. IT is included for Lebron and to help this season. They are deep into luxury tax. They still want to make the finals.

They need to get a good PG back. They can't count on Rose.

And how do they have less leverage than us? There is a market for Kyrie. There might not be any market left for IT. Sure, there is a market for the Nets pick, but it isn't worth as much as Kyrie. What percentage of drafts even have a single player as good as Kyrie?

We'd miss the LAL pick if it turns out to be a high one.

Adding another asset like that would be stupidity.

That will not happen or Ainge should be fired.
