I've read similar stuff on Baynes.  Good screen setter, good rebounder, reliable FT shooter. Supposedly has "lobster hands," which isn't a compliment.

Bahahaha I love that line. Of course I'll hate it when I see him lobstering! ;)

But at least it wont be with the Red Claws!!!

That's a tp. Aaron Red Claw Baynes

Back atcha.....great extrapolation to its logical conclusion....haha

I wanted us to trade Baynes to you guys this whole past year for Demetrius Jackson; I think he's a great get for you. He's a phenomenal big body to be able to throw in the middle which I feel is what you guys have needed in order to consistently trounce teams like, well, us. I'm not saying we were anywhere near as competitive as you guys last year and I'm also not suggesting Baynes be featured in your schemes at all, but when Pistons had a shot at the eight seed, we were rooting for a Boston matchup because we thought it'd be a more competitive/enjoyable series than playing against the cavs or wiz. The reason being that your guys formula or not having anybody in the middle plays right into our formula of bricking literally everything and letting Drummond clean up the glass. With Baynes, you now have someone that will make people like Drummond's or (more relevant) Tristan Thompson's life hell by forcing them to fight for every single inch inside. I don't expect he'll see very regular minutes as Stevens 5 out offense seems to be pretty effective, but for the occasions where you're just getting annihilated in the middle, Baynes is an excellent tool to have in your arsenal to go in there, bang around and tire out the other bigs. Outside of that value, you'll love his FT shooting, enjoy a little bit of his post game (he can be sick when he gets hot) and you'll almost assuredly hate his hands. Theres a reason he's getting such a small contract but he still checks off a few boxes that I think you guys benefit from.

^^that one in bold had me scratching my head.

I like what I hear on defense a lot.  Good to know his hands aren't so good but anyways I think Baynes will probably be starting and playing about 20 minutes per game.  Great fit for dirt cheap.
