With Baynes another 4.3 million coming in. Money well spent with How Ante looks right now. Does this mean Yabu had almost no chance of coming now.

No, we have room for Yabu under our cap.

I was looking at the cap situation and I'm stills not certain he can come over unless he takes less than 120%. Most rookies and all Celtics rookies take 120% so it would be odd if he doesn't.

I certainly think there's an argument for keeping him overseas. We would have an extra spot for a vet big and we could sign Nader or Semi to a 4 year deal instead of a 2.

The cap situation has a hold for Yabu specifically. Why wouldn't be allowed to sign him?

I think you may be overthinking this. Yabu is already on our books.

You are always able to sign your first round draft picks, as has been said he is accounted for in a salary cap hold already. Baynes will be signed with an exception, so no problem there.

Considering our big/stretch big situation after losing Amir/Kelly etc it would be an odd move to me if Yabu got stashed overseas again. Really really odd.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

Definitely could use him. Assuming Zizic is not ready to make a meaningful contribution, the only "true" bigs (guys who can play the 5) are Horford and Baynes. That's not enough.

I was using the wrong salary for Yab. Fits absolutely fine

How's about http: Justin Hamilton on a minimum contract. He's a 7ft player. That has some game.

Most opposing big men looked good against us last year.

And what makes you think Yabusele is ready to make a meaningful contribution?

Also, he's not really a big either.

Assuming Mickey is released, there is room for Yabu after giving Hayward a max, and nothing needs to be done with Jackson.  I guess there's always the chance that Yabusele stays overseas and we keep Mickey, but the way Ainge has been talking the past week about rebounding, and specifically mentioning Yabusele in that context, anything other than Yab being on the roster would seem unlikely.
