In the playoffs last year, Horford and Bradley were the team's best players.

Horford hasn't missed a beat. I'm glad he's on THIS team as glue is needed with so many new pieces.

My guess is Baynes benefited from the "new big three" working on cadence. He'd be standing there wide open while everyone else was doubled up and took the pass for a few 18 footers. Could start at center, see what Brad does. He's a good veteran player who is quick to his position.

Kyrie quickly goes to make a play, usually for himself, which is fine, but, adjustments are required. He has a superb handle, but, last night got lost in the trees underneath a few times. He will win the Celtics a bunch of games this year.

Hayward will find his place and no, he didn't find it last night. Opposing teams are going to struggle covering Hayward once the big three get it going. I can see Stevens in his lab now, mixing the necessary potions.

Brown shows hustle and flash. He mixes it up and his team mates like him. More lessons will be learned this year. At the two his size/speed/muscle is going to help him a lot.

When Smart came in I felt better. Like all of us I miss our Celtics from last year and he pops a couple of threes and got the place going. Can't wait for the last three minutes in the first close game this year. He is the middle linebacker on defense when it counts and the new guys will be very happy Marcus Smart plays on their team.

In a way I was glad to see Tatum struggle. Much is gained from failure and he was up against big, fast, smart NBA starters when he came in and got pushed around while missing all his shots. He was fine in the second half and will be a potentially top player for the Celtics. Rookie learning curve for this guy should be pretty quick.

Loved watching Rozier's hustle. Reminded me of last year. He is in the rotation because he deserves to be.

Yabusele didn't get anything going. I will assign it to youth. He has the size and body control to hold his own. Just don't know if he'll get many minutes.

Semi needs time. The guy is a brick wall, but, this NBA thing is very new.

Larkin off the bench running his butt off? Looked like he's been here for years. Good back up ball handler.

Theis will get minutes. The last 10 minutes  of the game last night looked like a euroleague match as scrubs scrubbed each other. Theis is a veteran and will get minutes from Brad for knowing how to play his position....not sure how many minutes though, bunch of guys in front of him.

Nader hustles and is big. He's got a good handle and drives to the rim with authority. Minutes might come for him, but, he's at the end of the bench for a team, that I think will be in the title push.

Morris takes minutes from all these bench guys, so a bunch of blowouts will be needed for them to get on the floor. "Bunch of blowouts" looks doable with this club.

Yes, they are a work in progress, but, in June 2018, they will be right there....big three and supporting cast can drum up necessary storm clouds to cause threes to rain down on opponents from both coasts.
